Longbourn

This was a great read! It's set at Longbourn - the home of the Bennets in Pride and Prejudice.

I only had two issues with this re-telling of P&P: 1) The narration was very jumpy, and I sometimes lost track of whose thoughts the narrator was invading. 2) Whenever Longbourn lingered on the Bennnets' stories, I began to wish I were re-reading Austen instead.

I put off reading this book for a long time, because P&P is my desert-island book and I didn't want to have it ruined. I wish now that I hadn't, because that meant I was denying myself the joy that is Longbourn.
